Procedure 1:
Sample Preparation

Purpose:
Samples are prepped for analytical work.

Description:
All samples are dried, crushed and ground.  Assays are performed on <200 mesh (-75um) material and reported on a dry basis.  Approximate 30 gram sample size required of mineralized geological rock chips or grains. Samples must be submitted in provided envelopes.
10 sample minimum for all procedures.

Procedure 2:
Qualitative Economic Scan

Purpose:
Geological sample economic survey to determine if further assay work is warranted.

Description:
All samples are examined semi-quantitatively for La-Lu, Y, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, W, Sn to determine if concentrations are significantly above crustal abundance and further analytical work is justified.

Note:
All unknown samples receive procedures 1 and 2, unless otherwise discussed with GTA staff.

Procedure 3:
Whole Rock Analysis

Purpose:
To determine rock matrix components.

Description:
Whole Rock Analysis (WRA).  Geological quantitative rock assay reported as Na2O, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, P2O5, SO3, K2O, CaO, TiO2, MnO, Fe2O3, SrO, BaO, and PbO.

Procedure 4:
LREE + Y

Purpose:
To determine quantity of LREEs and Y in rock.

Description:
Quantitative La2O3-Nd2O3, Y2O3 includes WRA.
Fusion XRF

Procedure 5:
All REE + Y

Purpose:
To determine quantity of REEs and Y in rock.

Description:
Quantitative All REE (La2O3-Lu2O3, Y2O3), includes WRA.
Fusion XRF
